About Us

In the fall of 2023, Kassondra Moore registered a Small Group under the Troy campus. Kassondra had been a longtime member of Church of the Highlands and had traveled many miles from Dothan to worship with her church family in Troy, Montgomery, and Birmingham. She was hoping to find others who shared her passion. Three people attended her first Coffee and Conversations small group and over time began to brainstorm how they could find a place to worship together. 



In October 2023, the first Dothan Small Group Watch Party was held in the back room of the Cellar, a restaurant in Dothan. Three people became nine, and nine became nineteen. Soon the group realized that a larger space was needed. In February of 2024, they moved to the reception room at Sunset Memorial Park and then the chapel at Sunset. In December of 2024, Everett Hall at Sony Auditorium was secured and has served as the meeting location since then.

Dothan Small Group is registered under the Troy Campus and maintains a strong relationship with Church of the Highlands leadership. We follow the guidelines of a COTH Small Group and fervently pray that eventually God will grant us a Dothan Campus. Until then, we will continue to worship together on Sundays and First Wednesdays, and SERVE the community through projects registered under the Church of the Highlands. We regularly attend Church of the Highlands conferences, events, and training sessions at various campuses.
